Men fall in three sets at UC San Diego

The Rockhurst men's volleyball team fell in three sets to UC San Diego on Sunday in La Jolla, California.

San Diego took the two sets, 25-17 and 25-20. The Tritons won the third set, 25-12.

Shay Spadaro led the Hawks in kills (nine), digs (five) and service aces (two). Lucas Tran was the team leader in blocks (three).

Aron DeRoy tallied six kills. Nathan Jacques (16) and Tyler Zippay (11) combined for 27 assists. Will Sutphen recorded five kills and two blocks.

The Hawks finished with 29 kills, 27 assists, 19 digs, three service aces, and five blocks.

Rockhurst (1-2) faces Hawaii on Wednesday at 11 p.m. and Friday at 3 p.m. in Manoa.
