Hawks fall at Central Missouri in five sets

The Rockhurst women's volleyball team fell in five sets to Central Missouri on Tuesday night in Warrensburg, Missouri.

The Hawks won the first two sets, 26-24 and 25-19. The Jennies then won 25-19 in the third set, 25-17 in the fourth set and 16-14 in the deciding fifth set.

Sarah Pyle led the Hawks with 23 kills, and added 14 digs and one service ace. Ali Olson recorded 19 kills and seven blocks. Alyssa McDonald also had 10 kills.

Katie Vargo had a team-leading 20 digs. Molly Trachta led the Hawks with 29 assists, and Mary Kate Mulvaney added 25 assists.

Rockhurst collected 63 kills, five service aces, 12 blocks, 60 assists and 82 digs.

The Hawks (8-5, 1-0 GLVC) host Drury on Friday night at 6 p.m. for their home opener at Mason-Halpin Field House.
