Rockhurst rallies to tie No. 23 Greyhounds

Immanuel Wayoro connected on a penalty kick in the 82nd minute to give Rockhurst a 2-2 tie against 23rd-ranked Indianapolis Sunday at Bourke Field.

Wayoro scored his second goal of the weekend and fourth of the season with 8:17 left in the game after UIndy fouled Rockhurst's Sam McIntosh in the box.

The Greyhounds (5-1-2, 3-1-1 GLVC) took a 2-1 lead in the 60th minute on a five-yard shot by  Alvaro Sanchez. UIndy tied the score at 1-1 on a goal by Joey Longo in the 28th minute.

Senior defender Noah Brende gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead with his second career goal. He knocked in shot from five yards off a corner kick by Asier Olano in the 17th minute.
 
Rockhurst finished with eight shots, while UIndy posted 19 shots. Wayoro led the Hawks with two shots. Franco Briani Brunoro tallied four saves.

The Hawks (4-2-2, 3-0-2 GLVC) travel to Lewis on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
