Rockhurst remains unbeaten in conference play

For the second straight game, the Rockhurst men rallied in the second half to post a conference victory. The Hawks scored two goals in the first 25 minutes after halftime to secure a 2-1 victory over Illinois Springfield Friday night at Bourke Field.

Immanuel Wayoro scored the game-winning goal in the 70th minute on an eight-yard shot inside the right post. Asier Olano assisted on Wayoro's third goal of the season.

Kaden Cripe tied the game at 1-1 in the 50th minute on a 10-yard shot off a cross from the left corner. Assisting on the goal were Olano and Sam McIntosh.

The Prairie Stars (2-4-1, 1-3 GLVC) took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute on a 16-yard shot by Robin Lemke Bergseth from just inside the box.

Rockhurst finished with 26 shots, while Springfield posted four shots. Cripe and Olano led the Hawks with five shots apiece. Wayoro collected four shots. Jack Dean and Ozonna Ugbaja each had three shots.

The Hawks (4-2-1, 3-0-1 GLVC) host 23rd-ranked Indianapolis on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
