Chloe Tyrrell, Sarah Pyle and Ali Olson led Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over crosstown rival William Jewell in their conference opener Friday night in Liberty, Missouri.
This is also the Hawks' second four-match winning streak of the season.
Rockhurst won the first two sets, 25-13 and 25-14. The Hawks recorded a 25-21 victory in the third set to clinch the match.
Tyrrell tallied a team-high 13 kills. Pyle collected 11 kills and 10 digs. Olson paced the Hawks with five blocks and collected nine kills.
Mary Kate Mulvaney posted 25 assists and nine digs. Katie Vargo tallied 11 digs. Molly Trachta added 14 assists.
The Hawks tallied 49 kills, seven blocks, 47 assists and 63 digs. Rockhurst hit .302 and held William Jewell to a .100 hitting percentage.
Rockhurst (8-4, 1-0 GLVC) faces Central Missouri Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Warrensburg, Missouri.
