Rockhurst rallies for 2-1 win over Saints

The Rockhurst Hawks scored two goals in the second half to rally for a 2-1 victory over Maryville Sunday at Bourke Field.

Blake Barrick knocked in a penalty shot for his second goal of the season to give the Hawks a 2-1 lead in the 65th minute. Asier Olano tied the game at 1-1 in the 58th minute on a free kick from the left side from just outside the box.

The Saints (3-2-1, 2-1 GLVC) took a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute on a left-footed eight-yard shot to the left bottom of the goal.

Rockhurst finished with 12 shots, while Maryville posted eight shots. Barrick led the Hawks with four shots (three on goal). Immanuel Wayoro collected three shots (one on goal). Olano and Kaden Cripe each had two shots.

Franco Briani Brunoro posted two saves for the Hawks.

The Hawks (3-2-1, 2-0-1 GLVC) host Illinois Springfield on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
