The Rockhurst volleyball team wrapped up play in the Truman State Tournament Saturday with a pair of 3-0 wins over Upper Iowa and 21st-ranked Missouri Western.
Sarah Pyle posted 11 kills, 20 digs, three service aces and two blocks to power the Hawks past Upper Iowa (25-21, 25-23, 25-19). Alyssa McDonald led the Hawks with 12 kills and three blocks.
Molly Trachta (22) and Mary Kate Mulvaney (16) recorded 38 combined assists. Katie Vargo (15) and Trachta (10) combined for 25 digs.
The Hawks collected 45 kills, six service aces, seven blocks, 44 assists and 66 digs.
Rockhurst finished its win against No. 21 Missouri Western on an 8-1 run to win the third set, 26-24. The Hawks won the first two sets, 25-20 and 25-15.
Pyle (14) and McDonald (11) combined for 25 kills. Trachta (25) and Mulvaney (15) collected 40 assists.
Vargo (18) and Tyrrell (12) tallied 30 digs. Ali Olson led the Hawks with three blocks.
The Hawks recorded a .393 hitting percentage against the Griffons. Rockhurst collected 50 kills, 11 blocks, 48 assists and 54 digs.
Rockhurst (7-4) travels to crosstown rival William Jewell to begin conference play next Saturday at 3 p.m.
