The Rockhurst women's volleyball team will play in the Truman State Tournament on Friday and Saturday in Kirksville, Missouri. The Hawks face Truman State Friday at 7 p.m., followed by matches on Saturday against Missouri Western at 11:30 a.m. and Upper Iowa at 4:30 p.m.
Last weekend, Rockhurst traveled to Fairbanks, Alaska for four matches in the Denali State Bank Ice Block Classic. The Hawks fell in five sets to San Bernardino and in four sets to Rollins, Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks.
Alyssa McDonald collected 56 kills, 10 blocks and a team-leading 61 points. Delaney Hope tallied a 409 hitting percentage with 35 kills and 19 blocks. Sarah Pyle had 45 kills, six service aces, 47 digs and five blocks. Pyle also earned All-Tournament honors.
Truman State (2-6) posted a 1-3 record at the Washburn Tournament last weekend. Missouri Western (6-2) defeated second-ranked Angelo State and 11th-ranked Concordia St. Paul. Upper Iowa (0-8) lost four matches at the Mankato Invite last weekend.
