Women’s Volleyball Set for Final Road Trip of Regular Season

Rockhurst Women's Volleyball hits the road for their last road trip of the regular season. The Hawks will travel to Romeoville, Illinois to face Lewis on Friday at 6 p.m. before going to Indianapolis, Indiana to play No. 20 Indianapolis on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.

The Hawks won both matchups last weekend inside Mason-Halpin Field House, winning in four sets over Maryville on Oct. 23 and in three sets against Missouri S&T on Oct. 24.

Rockhurst has won five-straight for the second time this season and are 8-1 in conference play. The Hawks are tied with Indianapolis for second place in the conference standings and only trail Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) who is 9-1 in the GLVC.

Rockhurst is one of three teams to clinch a berth to the GLVC Tournament along with UMSL and Indianapolis. The Hawks will be making their 21st appearance in the GLVC postseason.

Over the weekend, Alyssa McDonald led the Hawks with 28 kills. Molly Trachta had team-highs in assists (52) and service aces (six). Trachta currently sits at 133 career service aces, tied for fourth all-time in school history, and is just three service aces away from moving to third place.

Abby Boyd had 24 digs to lead Rockhurst, as Delaney Hope had seven blocks.

Lewis (13-11, 6-3 GLVC) fell to UMSL in five sets on Oct. 23 and won in four sets against McKendree on Oct. 24. Overall, the Flyers are 21-14 against Rockhurst dating back to Sept. 11, 2001, and are winners of five of their last seven matchups against the Hawks.

Rockhurst won in straight sets during the two teams' last matchup played on Nov. 8, 2025, inside Mason-Halpin Field House.

Indianapolis (21-3, 8-1 GLVC) picked up a pair of wins last weekend, defeating McKendree in three sets over McKendree on Oct. 23 and UMSL in four sets on Oct. 24. The Greyhounds have won three in a row and nine of their last 10. Indianapolis heads into the weekend with a 9-0 record at home.

Before Saturday's match with the Hawks, the Greyhounds face William Jewell on Friday. RU has a 19-14 lead in the all-time series dating back to Oct. 28, 2000, and have won nine of the last 10 matchups against Indianapolis.
