Hawks drop road game at Saint Louis

Saint Louis scored eight runs in the first three innings in posting a 13-3 victory over Rockhurst Tuesday in St. Louis.

The Billikens took a 6-2 lead in the second on a three-run home run. SLU added two runs in the third, four runs in the sixth and one run in the seventh.

Luke Scalf led the Hawk with two hits and two runs scored. Scalf singled and scored a run in the second and fourth.

Drew Cornelison drove in run on fielder's choice groundout in the first and Austin Murray had an RBI single in the fourth.

The Hawks (16-15, 6-10 GLVC) open a four-game series at Missouri-St. Louis at 2 p.m. Friday.
