The Rockhurst women's lacrosse team opened conference play with a 13-4 victory over William Jewell while earning a point in the KC Crown series Thursday night at Bourke Field.

The Hawks (9-1) are off to their best start in school history after 10 games.

Elise Magee scored three goals in the first half to help give Rockhurst an 8-3 halftime lead. The Hawks outscored the Cardinals 5-1 in the second half.

• Magee led the Hawks with four goals, one assist, five ground balls, four caused turnovers and three draw controls
• Reagan Danner posted three goals and one assist.
• Page Yehling collected eight ground balls, six caused turnovers and two draw controls.
• Kylee Pickens tallied seven draw controls, two goals and one assist.
• Anna Loeffelman had seven ground balls, four caused turnovers and one goal.
• Mae Beins finished with six saves, three ground balls and one caused turnover.
• The Hawks host Missouri Western on Friday, April 11.
