Mae Beins posted nine saves and three ground balls to lead Rockhurst to an 8-5 victory over Missouri Westerm Friday night at Bourke Field.

The Hawks (10-1, 2-0 GLVC) are off to their best start in school history after 11 games.

Rockhurst scored four unanswered goals in the second quarter to take a 4-1 lead over the Griffons. The Hawks went on a 4-1 run to take an 8-4 lead with 2:19 left in the fourth quarter.

• Page Yehling led the Hawks with six caused turnovers, six ground balls and one goal.
• Kylee Pickens won nine draw controls and picked up two ground balls.
• Elise Magee tallied two goals, one assist and four draw controls.
• Madison Powell collected two goals, one assist and one ground ball.
• Anna Loeffelman had three caused turnovers, one goal and one ground ball.
• Kaylee Lary added one goal, one assist and one ground ball.
