Men tally home wins over Maryville, UMSL

The 42nd-ranked Rockhurst men's tennis team collected a pair of wins over Maryville, 4-3, on Saturday and Missouri-St. Louis, 7-0, on Sunday at the Plaza Tennis Center.

Freshman Creed Skinner won a third set tie-breaker in No. 5 singles to help give the Hawks a narrow win over Maryville. Semyon Tsyrenov and Louis Keiner also won in No. 1 and 2 singles. The Hawks secured wins in No. 2 and 3 doubles.

In the win over UMSL, the Hawks swept all six singles matches and won two of the three doubles matches. Alex Tikhonov and Keiner won No. 1 doubles, 6-3. Tsyrenov and Skinner were 6-1 winners in No. 2 doubles.

Rockhurst (6-4) will host Southern Arkansas on Wednesday.
