Men's Golf finishes second at the Maverick Desert Classic

Ben Elgas tied for fifth place at 143

The Rockhurst men's golf team finished in second place at the Maverick Desert Classic Tuesday at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.

The Hawks shot a 293 on the second day to finish with a 36-hole score of 584, one shot behind team champion Concordia-St. Paul.

Ben Elgas tied for fifth place at 143 (72-71) to lead the Hawks. Elijah Shirley tied for 16th place at 146 (73-73). David Schilp tied for 21st at 147 (72-75). Kingston Solomon and Ashton Vinton tied for 28th at 149.
