Hawks post 16 top 10 finishes at Wichita State meet

Leah Heck came in eighth in the 200 meters and 14th in the 100 meters
The Rockhurst women's track and field team posted 16 top 10 finishes indoors at the Coach Wilson Invitational on Saturday at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas.

Jillian Vaughn led in the distance races with a first-place finish in the 5000 meters in 19:29.20 and sixth place in the mile run in 5:30.60. Ellie Beck came in second in the 800 meters in 2:25.20. Molly McClung placed third in the 3000 meters in 11:04.40 and eighth in the mile run in 5:39.03.

In the sprints, Leah Heck finished eighth in the 200 meters in 27.39 and 14th in the 60 meters in 8.24, Paige Pistono placed eighth in the 400 meters in 1:03.0 and Sophy Orsi came in 19th in the 60-meter hurdles in 10.20.

In the field events, Heck came in ninth in the triple jump. Ar'Janay Landers placed 12th in the triple jump and 13th in the long jump.
