The Rockhurst women's track and field team broke six school records while finishing in fifth place at the Spire Distance Carnival at the University of Saint Mary Saturday in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Maia Maury led the Hawks with a pair of second-place finishes in school-record times in the 800 meters and 400 hurdles. She also ran the third leg on the second-place 4x400 relay, which broke the school record in a time of 3:59.79.

Carrington Hessen broke the school record with a second-place finish in the 5,000 meters in a time of 17:50.13. Rhema Stemmons came in fourth in the 400 in a school-record time of 59.40.

Ar'Janay Landers placed sixth in the long jump with a school-record jump of 17-2.75.
