Drenin Dinkins and Jaden Flournoy each recorded a double-double as Rockhurst posted a 92-72 win over Emporia State on Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.
Dinkins collected his first career double-double with 27 points and a career-high 11 rebounds rebounds. He also shot 10-for-10 from the free throw line and has missed just one free throw in the past five games.
Flournoy tallied his second double-double of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Flournoy's three-point shot capped a 16-7 run to put the Hawks up 87-67 at the 2:40 mark.
Rockhurst shot 71.4 percent (20-of-28) from the floor and 91.7 percent (11-of-12) from the free-throw line in the second half.
Peyton Newbern scored a season-high 15 points and grabbed five rebounds. Jaylen Wesley totaled 12 points, all in the second half. Dillon Mong notched eight points on 3-of-4 shooting.
The Hawks shot 57.9 percent (33-of-57) from the field and 43.5 percent (10-of-23) from the three-point line. Rockhurst also shot 94.1 percent (16-of-17) from the free-throw line.
Rockhurst scored 57 points in the second half after closing the first half on a 16-10 run to take a 35-31 lead into halftime.
