Men score season-high 95 in win over Truman

Jaylen Wesley and Drenin Dinkins combined for 47 points to lead Rockhurst to a 95-79 win over Truman State Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Rockhurst began the game on a 10-1 run and took a 47-43 lead at halftime. Dillon Mong scored 12 first-half points.

The Hawks scored 48 points in the second half, including a 14-2 run to take a 78-59 lead at the 9:03 mark. Wesley (17) and Dinkins (13) combined for 30 points in the second half.

Wesley led all scorers with 25 points and added seven rebounds, two assists and one steal. Dinkins tallied his fourth consecutive game with 20 or more points with 22. He also collected six rebounds, two assists, two steals and shot 84.6 percent (11-of-13) from the free-throw line.

Mong had his third game in a row scoring 10 or more points with 15, including five rebounds, one assist and one steal. Micah Deaver notched 10 points, three rebounds and three assists. Jaden Flournoy and London Burton both scored eight points.

The Hawks shot 50 percent (30-of-60) from the floor and 45 percent (9-of-20) from the three-point line. Rockhurst shot 83.9 percent (26-of-31) from the free-throw line.
