Rockhurst faces Panthers in GLVC Tournament

The Hawks are making their 21st straight appearance in the GLVC Tournament
Rockhurst Women's Volleyball opens play in the GLVC Tournament against Drury on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Williamsville, Illinois.

The Hawks are making their 21st straight appearance in the GLVC Tournament and have won three GLVC Tournament Championships. Heading into the weekend, Rockhurst is ranked seventh in the NCAA Midwest Regional rankings.

Rockhurst (20-9, 11-2 GLVC) earned the No. 2 seed in the tournament, while Drury (17-12, 7-6 GLVC) is the No. 7 seed. Rockhurst defeated the Panthers, 3-0, in Kansas City on Oct. 3.

The winner will advance to the GLVC Tournament semifinals to face the winner of No. 3 seed Quincy and No. 6 Truman State on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Last weekend, Rockhurst split its final two regular season games, winning at McKendree (3-0) and falling at Missouri-St. Louis (3-1). Sarah Pyle registered 28 kills and 21 digs, and Delaney Hope recorded 10 blocks and a .543 hitting percentage.

On Thursday night, Pyle and Hope collected All-GLVC First Team honors, and Molly Trachta earned All-GLVC Second Team honors. Carly Rolf was named the Rockhurst honoree of the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award. Each of the four quarterfinal winners from Friday, Nov. 21 will advance to the semifinals set for 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22. The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, Nov. 23 at noon for a shot at being crowned 2025 GLVC Volleyball Champions.
 
For the second consecutive season, all GLVC Championship Tournament action will be streamed for $15 per match or $25 for the full tournament on GLVCSN.com, the GLVCSN iOS and Android mobile apps, and GLVCSN OTT apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV.
