Men's Soccer captures GLVC regular season title

For this first time since 2017, Rockhurst has claimed the GLVC regular season championship in men's soccer. The 20th-ranked Hawks finished first in the GLVC standings with a 10-1-3 record.

The Hawks ended the regular season with a 0-0 tie against 15th-ranked Lincoln on Sund at Bourke Field to secure the top seed in next week's GLVC Tournament. Rockhurst (11-3-3) will host eighth-seeded Quincy (8-6-3) on Saturday, Nov. 8.

Rockhurst finished with eight shots (two on goal) against Lincoln. The Hawks had five shots in the second half. Lincoln posted 12 shots (two on goal). The Blue Tigers stopped a Rockhurst penalty kick by Blake Barrick in the 17th minute.

Kaden Cripe led the Hawks with three shots (one on goal). Immanuel Wayoro and Asier Olano each collected two shots.

Franco Briani Brunoro made two saves in the second half in posting his fifth shutout of the season.
