Hawks rally for 3-2 win over Maryville

Sarah Pyle posted 24 kills and 24 digs to lead Rockhurst to a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Maryville Saturday in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Saints won the first set, 27-25, and the third set, 25-17. Rockhurst won the second set, 28-26 and the fourth set, 25-12.

The Hawks went on a 6-0 run in the fifth set to go up 12-5. Pyle closed out the match with a kill as Rockhurst won the fifth set 15-11.

Delaney Hope had 15 kills and three blocks. Mary Kate Mulvaney tallied 24 assists and 20 digs. Ali Olson led the team with five blocks.

Avery DeLong notched 12 kills. Molly Trachta added 33 assists and 15 digs. Lexi Theis added eight kills, seven digs and two service aces.

Rockhurst recorded a .230 hitting percentage. The Hawks had 75 kills, 99 digs, 68 assists, and seven team blocks.

The Hawks (17-8, 8-1 GLVC) hosts Indianapolis on Friday at 6 p.m.
