Hawks fall to Pittsburg State in four sets

Rockhurst Women's Volleyball fell to Pittsburg State in four sets Wednesday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Gorillas wom the first and second sets by 26-24 scores. Rockhurst captured the third set, 25-23, before Pitt State won the fourth set 25-21.

Sarah Pyle led Rockhurst with 15 kills, 17 digs and three service aces. Chloe Tyrrell finished with 13 kills and 13 digs. Katie Vargo also tallied 13 digs. Lexi Theis added 11 kills.

Molly Trachta (32) and Mary Kate Mulvaney (10) combined for 42 assists. Ali Olson, Avery DeLong and Delaney Hope each finished with three service aces.

The Hawks recorded 61 kills, 56 assists, 76 digs, seven blocks, and six service aces.

Rockhurst (14-7, 5-0 GLVC) returns to Mason-Halpin on Friday at 6 p.m. to face Truman State.
