Rockhurst Women's Volleyball begins a three-match homestand this week when they face Pittsburg State on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks will also play two conference foes: Truman State on Friday at 6 p.m. and Upper Iowa on Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Hawks traveled to the Midwest Region Crossover last weekend and went 2-1. Rockhurst fell to Wayne State in three sets, but bounced back later Friday defeated Ashland in straight sets on Friday. The Hawks finished the Crossover on Saturday with a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Findlay.

Sarah Pyle was named to the Midwest Region Crossover All-Tournament Team. She recorded 41 kills, 33 digs, eight blocks, three assists and two service aces.

Delaney Hope collected 25 kills, eight digs and eight blocks. She also finished the weekend with a .524 hitting percentage.

Pitt State (8-11) fell to Missouri Western last Friday and Northwest Missouri State last Saturday. The Hawks are 28-3 all-time against the Gorillas and have won the last five matches in the series.

Truman State (8-13, 3-3 GLVC) and Upper Iowa (4-15, 2-4 GLVC) each collected two wins at the Midwest Region Crossover. Rockhurst won both matchups earlier this season against Truman State (Sept. 19) and Upper Iowa (Sept. 20) in three sets at the Truman State Tournament.
