Hawks post 3-0 win over Ashland at Crossover

Sarah Pyle and Mary Kate Mulvaney led Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory (25-14, 25-17, 25-12) over Ashland at the Midwest Region Crossover Friday in Hammond, Indiana.

Pyle had team-highs in kills (17) and blocks (five) while adding nine digs. Mulvaney posted 21 assists and 11 digs. Chloe Tyrrell also collected 11 digs.

The Hawks recorded a .353 hitting percentage. Rockhurst finished with 47 kills, 46 digs, 46 assists, two service aces, and seven blocks.

Earlier on Friday, the Hawks fell to Wayne State in three sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-18).

Pyle had 12 kills, an assist and a block. Mulvaney led Rockhurst with three service aces, and collected 15 assists and seven digs.

Katie Vargo had a team-leading 13 digs. Molly Trachta tallied 18 assists.

Rockhurst finished with 39 kills, 41 digs, 36 assists, five service aces, and three blocks.

The Hawks (13-6) will play Findlay (14-2) on Saturday at 2 p.m. on the final day of the Crossover.
