First-place Hawks shut out Truman, 3-0

Rockhurst Men's Soccer moved its unbeaten streak to nine in a row with a 3-0 victory over Truman State Sunday at Bourke Field.

The first-place Hawks improved their conference record to 7-0-2 with five games left in the regular season.

Blake Barrick made a penalty kick in the 32nd minute to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Nick Marchetti and Immanuel Wayoro added goals in the second half.

Marchetti connected on a 15-yard shot in the 55th minute for his first career goal with assists from Mattia Petricca and Jack Dean.

Wayoro found the nets from 15 yards out in the 86th minute. Evan Hill and Nicolas Schrag assisted on Wayoro's sixth goal of the season.
 
Rockhurst finished with 14 shots (five on goal), while Truman posted seven shots (two on goal).

Wayoro led the Hawks with four shots (two shots on goal). Hill, Rhys Laws and Asier Olano each had two shots. Franco Briani Brunoro posted one save.

The Hawks, 8-2-2 overall, next play at William Jewell on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
