Rockhurst falls in three to No. 12 Lewis

The Rockhurst men's volleyball team fell in three sets to No. 12 Lewis (25-19, 25-21, 25-14) on Friday evening in Romeoville, Illinois.

Max Tkachev led the Hawks in kills with 11, added a service ace and had a .421 hitting percentage. Shay Spadaro collected five kills, a service ace, a block, two assists and five digs.

Nathan Jacques led the Hawks in assists (25) and digs (six). Two other Hawks had a service ace, including Jacques and Carson Pliapol.

Rockhurst finished with 29 kills, 29 assists, 25 digs and five blocks.

The Hawks (0-3) face a doubleheader on Saturday in Chicago, Illinois, as they take on Saint Francis at 1 p.m. and No. 8 Loyola at 7 p.m.
