Hawks post 90-72 win over Indianapolis

Jaylen Wesley posted 27 points and nine rebounds to lead the Rockhurst men to a 90-72 win over Indianapolis on Thursday evening at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks have now won eight of their last nine games and 10 out of their last 12.

Rockhurst is now 12-4 overall and 4-1 in January. In the GLVC, the Hawks are 6-2, tied for third place with Missouri-St. Louis.

The first half saw three ties and four lead changes early on, with the game's last tie taking place at 15-all with 11:50 left. Rockhurst held onto the lead for the rest of the half as they took a 41-38 lead halftime.

Rockhurst started the second half on a 9-0 run to take a 50-38 lead at the 17:06 mark. A few minutes later, an additional 8-0 run by Rockhurst put the Hawks up 60-45 with 12:39 to go.

Jesse White finished with 19 points. Daniel Carr recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, his fourth double-double of the season and his third in the last five games.

Nick Arensberg collected 13 points and six rebounds. Brian Hawthorne scored eight points with 10 assists.

Rockhurst shot 47.8 percent (32-of-67) from the floor and 33.3 percent (9-of-27) from the three-point line. The Hawks also collected 41 rebounds (nine offensive).
