Hines powers Hawks to 3-0 win over Sioux Falls

Kenzie Hines posted 15 kills and a .433 hitting percentage to power Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over Sioux Falls on final day of the Kansas City Classic Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Sarah Pyle finished with 11 kills, 10 digs and eight services aces. Sydney Raszler and Tera Reberry added nine and eight kills, respectively.

Hines and Pyle combined for 11 kills to carry the Hawks to a 25-19 win in the first set. Rockhurst won the second set, 25-20, with Hines and Reberry combining for nine kills.

Rockhurst closed out the match with a 26-24 win in the third set with Raszler collecting six kills.

Maureen Reilly had a game-high 16 digs. Sarah Montague and Molly Trachta combined for 44 assists.

Rockhurst finished with 53 kills, 42 digs and 12 service aces. The Hawks finished with a .350 hitting percentage.

The Hawks (2-1) begin play in the Drury Invitational on Thursday in Springfield, Missouri.
