Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Late goal gives Indy 2-1 win over Hawks

The Indianapolis Greyhounds scored in the 85th minute to edge the Rockhurst men, 2-1, on a wet and windy Friday night in Indianapolis.

The Greyhounds (4-2, 4-0 GLVC) knocked in a rebound shot from eight yards with 5:38 left in the second half. Franco Brunoro made a great save on an Indy shot seconds after the Hawks were awarded a yellow card. Indy's Angel Abrahamsen was in the right spot to kick in the game-winning goal into the right back of the net.

Rockhurst tied the score at 1-1 in the 43rd minute on a 10-yard left-footed shot by Noah Brende off a long free kick by Rhys Laws. Indy scored their first goal in the 30th minute.

The Hawks finished with eight shots and five shots on goals. Caden Pfeil led Rockhurst with three shots and two shots on goal. Brunoro finished with six saves.

Rockhurst (0-6. 0-4 GLVC) next plays at Illinois Springfield at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
