Reberry powers Hawks to 3-1 win over No. 5 UMSL

Tera Reberry posted 19 kills and a .425 hitting percentage to power Rockhurst to a 3-1 victory fifth-ranked Missouri-St. Louis Friday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

It was the Hawks' second win over a ranked team this year and their first win over a top five ranked team since defeating fourth-ranked Lewis in the NCAA Midwest Regional finals in 2017.

Rockhurst collected 16 kills to win the first set, 25-19. UMSL won the second set, 25-16. The Hawks won the third set, 25-20, and then held off a late Triton rally to win the fourth set, 25-23.

Reberry collected four kills in the fourth set after getting five kills in each of the first three sets. Sarah Pyle tallied 12 kills, eight digs and three blocks.

Sydney Raszler added 12 kills and a .478 hitting percentage. Ali Olson had a team-high six blocks.

Maureen Reilly led the Hawks with 24 digs. Sarah Montague finished with 29 assists and 15 digs. Molly Trachta added 17 assists.

Rockhurst finished with 59 kills, 63 digs and eight team blocks. The Hawks held UMSL (9-2, 0-1 GLVC) to a .255 hitting percentage.

The Hawks (7-3, 1-0 GLVC) host McKendree (3-8, 1-0 GLVC) at 3 p.m. Saturday.
