Rockhurst collects 51 COP Academic Excellence honors

Rockhurst finished the 2023-24 academic year with 51 of its student-athletes receiving the GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award.

The recipients of the GLVC COP Academic Excellence Award exemplify the outstanding student-athletes in the GLVC. Each honoree has exhausted his or her eligibility in the intercollegiate sport in which they participated and maintained at a least a 3.5 grade point average throughout their academic career.
 
In addition, to be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must have competed in the GLVC for a minimum of two years and completed 96 credit hours. A student-athlete can only earn the distinguished honor one time per sport in his or her career.

The GLVC has identified 541 student-athletes across 13 eligible member institutions who have earned the GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award. While the total number this year did not improve upon the league record set in 2021-22 with 545 honorees from 15 member schools, it did surpass the previous record mark from 2020-21 of 434 from 15 schools and last year's total of 491 for 13 schools.
 
Five Rockhurst students met the highest standard of academic excellence by concluding their collegiate careers with an unblemished 4.0 cumulative GPA:
