Rockhurst tops GLVC with 73 COP Academic Excellence honors

6/26/2026 4:13:00 PM

Rockhurst led the conference with 73 of its student-athletes receiving the 2025-26 GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award.

The GLVC has identified a new league record of 635 student-athletes across 15 eligible member institutions who have earned the GLVC COP Academic Excellence Award. This is an increase of 22 from 2024-25 where 613 students earned the honor for 14 member schools.

The recipients of the GLVC COP Academic Excellence Award exemplify the outstanding student-athletes in the GLVC. Each honoree has exhausted his or her eligibility in the intercollegiate sport in which they participated and maintained at a least a 3.5 grade point average throughout their academic career.

In addition, to be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must have competed in the GLVC for a minimum of two years and completed 96 credit hours. A student-athlete can only earn the distinguished honor one time per sport in his or her career.

Four Rockhurst students met the highest standard of academic excellence by concluding their collegiate careers with an unblemished 4.0 cumulative GPA:
Sofia Hughes, Women's Soccer, Rockhurst (Business Administration)
Anna Lantz, Women's Soccer, Rockhurst (Molecular Biology)
Alex Zoellner, Women's Soccer, Rockhurst (Communications)
