Men score 5-2 win over William Jewell

The Rockhurst men's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 5-2 victory over William Jewell Saturday at the Plaza Tennis Center.

Rockhurst (9-10, 2-2 GLVC) clinched third place in the GLVC West Division. The Hawks will meet McKendree in the first round of the GLVC Tournament at 9 a.m. Friday in Springfield, Missouri.

Alex Tikhonov, Agustin Cortes, Gustavo Gil and Diego Schtulmann won their singles matches. Cortes and Semyon Tsyrenov won their No. 2 double match, 6-1. Gil and Tikhonov captured No. 3 doubles, 6-1.
