Women place four on Academic All-District Team

The Rockhurst women's basketball team placed four student-athletes on the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team.

The four Hawks earning Academic All-District distinction are Macie Conway, Rebeca Garcia, Ali Kamies and Allison McFarren.

Conway, a sophomore from Nixa, Missouri, earned All-GLVC Third Team honors. She averaged 12.4 points in 27 starts.

Garcia, a junior center from Madrid, Spain, averaged 6-5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in 27 games.

Kamies, a sophomore guard from Nixa, Missouri, averaged 9.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in 27 starts.

McFarren, a senior guard from Wichita, Kansas, averaged 6.9 points per game while starting 27 games.

The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 16.
