Late run leads Lincoln past Hawks

Lincoln scored the last eight points of the game to secure a 70-61 victory over Rockhurst Saturday in Jefferson City, Missouri.

The Hawks took a 40-36 lead on a jumper by Macie Conway at the 6:25 mark in the third quarter. Lincoln closed the third period on a 15-8 run to take a 51-48 lead into the fourth period.

Rockhurst never led in the fourth quarter, but tied the score at 55-all on a Conway layup with 6:39 left to play.

Conway led the Hawks with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. She made seven-of-13 field goals.

Tori Miller posted 15 points on five-of-11 shooting. Lauren Sandstrom tallied 10 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks.
