Bearcats rally for 7-5 win over Rockhurst

Northwest Missouri State rallied to post a 7-5 victory over Rockhurst Tuesday in Maryville, Missouri.

The Hawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead behind a solo home run from Drew Cornelison in the first inning and a two-run homer from Michael Laudando in the fourth.

Northwest Missouri scored four runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to tie the score at 5-5. The Bearcats took a 7-5 lead on a two-run home run in the eighth.

Cornelison led the Hawks with two hits. Adonis Forte had a triple and run scored. Dakota Hanna allowed one run on four hits over 4.0 innings.

The Hawks (11-9, 3-5 GLVC) play at Quincy this weekend.
