Hawks post 88-72 win over Manhattan Christian

Jesse White scored 25 points to lead the Rockhurst men to an 88-72 win over Manhattan Christian College on Monday afternoon at Mason-Halpin Field House.

There were three ties and two lead changes early in the first half. Rockhurst later used a 16-2 run to go up 40-21 and had a 42-27 halftime lead.

Manhattan Christian began the second half on an 8-0 run and eventually cut the Hawks' lead to 52-46 with 14:25 left in the game. Rockhurst responded with a 20-1 run to take a 72-48 lead at the 8:13 mark.

White led four Hawks in double-figure scoring. White scored 17 of his 25 points in the first half. He made six 3-point shots and was 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.

Jaden Flournoy had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Jaylen Wesley had 11 points, five rebounds, four assists, and was 6-of-6 from the free-throw line. Daniel Carr recorded 10 points and six rebounds.

Rockhurst shot 45.9 percent (28-of-61) from the field and 34.5 percent (10-of-29) from three.
