Early goals lead Hawks to 2-1 win at Lincoln

Rockhurst scored two goals in the first 25 minutes and held off Lincoln in the final five minutes to post a 2-1 victory over the Blue Tigers Friday night in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Redshirt freshman Blake Barrick scored on a five-yard shot in the fifth minute. Sam McIntosh assisted on Barrick's fifth goal of the season.

Luca Zallo gave the Hawks a 2-0 lead with his first goal of the season in the 25th minute. Barrick and Cristoforo LiCavoli had assists on Zallo's game-winning goal.

The Blue Tigers cut Rockhurst's lead in half with a goal in the 86th minute. The Lincoln keeper was awarded a red card two minutes later and the Blue Tigers played the final 2:17 with 10 players.

Lincoln outshot the Hawks, 13-10. Barrick led the Hawks with three shots. McIntosh and Zallo each had two shots on goal. Franco Brunoro made six saves.

The Hawks (5-8-2, 5-6-2 GLVC) close out the regular season at Missouri S&T Sunday afternoon.
