Hawks post Senior Day win over Jewell

The Rockhurst women's volleyball team closed the regular season with a 3-0 victory over William Jewell on Senior Day Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks (19-6, 10-3 GLVC) tied for third place in the GLVC and will be the No. 4 seed in next weekend's GLVC Tournament. Rockhurst will play fifth-seeded Illinois Springfield at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Williamsville, Illinois.

Rockhurst posted 25-5, 25-18 and 25-10 set wins over Jewell, while posting a hitting percentage of .458.

Senior Hannah Graves led the Hawks with seven kills, seven blocks and a .700 hitting percentage. Sarah Pyle tallied 11 kills and three service aces.

Alyssa McDonald collected seven kills and a .636 hitting percentage. Super senior Tera Reberry and Ali Olson combined for nine kills and six blocks.

Super senior Maureen Reilly had a team-high 13 digs. Super senior Sarah Montague and Molly Trachta combined for 29 assists, 11 digs and four service aces.

Rockhurst finished with 42 kills, 38 digs, 10 team blocks and eight service aces.
