Rockhurst falls in five sets at Lewis

Led by its strong play in the middle, the Lewis Flyers edged Rockhurst 3-2 in a women's volleyball match Friday night in Romeoville, Illinois.

Lewis won the fifth set, 15-11, despite only posting four kills. The Hawks jumped out to a 7-6 in the final set before the Flyers closed the match on a 9-4 run.

After dropping the first set, Rockhurst won the second set, 25-21. The Hawks forced a fifth set with a 25-23 win in the fourth set.

Tera Reberry led the Hawks with 24 kills and a .312 hitting percentage. Sarah Pyle posted 13 kills and 21 digs. Kenzie Hines added seven kills and 20 digs.

Maureen Reilly posted a team-high 29 digs. Sarah Montague totaled 31 assists and 18 digs.

Rockhurst finished with 60 kills, 103 digs and four blocks. Lewis tallied 18 blocks. The Hawks (8-4, 2-1 GLVC) play at Indianapolis on Saturday at 2 p.m.
