Hawks improve winning streak to seven in a row

Rockhurst moved its winning streak to seven in a row with a 3-1 victory over Truman State Saturday night in Kirksville, Missouri.

The Hawks won the first set, 25-23, behind seven kills from Tera Reberry. Truman closed the second set on a 14-4 run to post a 25-19 win. Rockhurst rallied from a seven-point deficit to win the third set, 26-24, and cruised to a 25-11 win in the fourth set.

Reberry led the Hawks with 14 kills and a .250 hitting percentage. Sarah Pyle posted 13 kills and seven digs. Chloe Tyrrell tallied 11 kills and 5 digs.

Sarah Montague recorded 27 assists and 14 digs. Maureen Reilly collected a team-high 23 digs and four service aces.

Rockhurst finished with 56 kills, 69 digs and eight service aces. The Hawks (15-5, 6-2 GLVC) return home to play Illinois Springfield on Friday night.
