The Rockhurst women's volleyball team returns to GLVC play after playing three matches last week at the 2024 Midwest Region Crossover. The Hawks head to Upper Iowa on Friday at 6 p.m. in Fayette, Iowa, and then face Truman State on Saturday at 6 p.m. in Kirksville, Missouri.

Rockhurst was unbeaten at last week's Crossover in Hammond, Indiana, finishing with a 3-0 record, and is on a season-long five-match winning streak.

Last Friday, the Hawks defeated Hillsdale (No. 1 seed from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference) in five sets and Parkside (the No. 6 seed from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) in four sets.

Rockhurst finished their unbeaten week at the Midwest Crossover by defeating Northern Michigan (the No. 3 seed from the GILAC) 3-1 last Saturday.

Graduate student libero Maureen Reilly was named to the All-Midwest Region Crossover team. She finished the week with 71 digs (5.46 digs per set), 28 assists (2.15 assists/set), six service aces, and six points.

Upper Iowa was unbeaten at the Crossover last week, defeating Saginaw Valley and Lake Erie last Friday, and Ursuline last Saturday morning.

The Hawks and Peacocks' first-ever women's volleyball contest was last year. Rockhurst won 3-1 in four sets on Oct. 21, 2023, at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Truman State was also unbeaten at the Crossover. The Bulldogs defeated Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday and Lake Superior State and Malone on Saturday.

Dating back to 2013, the Hawks are 14-2 all-time against Truman State. Last year, the Hawks won in four sets on Oct. 20, 2023, in Kansas City.
