Men collect Tri-Meet wins over Jewell and UMSL

The Hawks secured wins over Jewell and UMSL

The Rockhurst men's swimming and diving team posted victories over William Jewell,124-80, and Missouri-St. Louis, 104-100, at the William Jewell College Tri-Meet Friday in Liberty, Missouri.

In individual races, the Hawks collected five first-place finishes, three seconds, two thirds and two fourths. Rockhurst also won both the 200-meter medley relay and the 200-meter free relay.

Mohannad Nada posted wins in the 400 individual medley and the 200 breaststroke. Adam Hamdy won the 100 freestyle and Alexandre Adum was the 200 butterfly winner.

Omar Mohsen brought home second-place finishes in the 400 and 800 freestyle races. Omar Abla finished second in the 200 freestyle and third in the 100 freestyle. Ian Klapper came in third in the 200 breaststroke. Jacob Clink had a pair of fourth places in the 400 and 800 freestyle.

The team of Usama, Nada, Hamdy and Preston Hoang took first in the men's 200 medley relay. Usama, Abla, Hoang and Hamdy finished first in the 200 medley relay.

The Hawks compete at the Drury Invitational on Nov. 8-9 in Springfield, Missouri.
