RU men post 3-0 road win at Quincy

Blake Barrick scored an early goal to lead the Rockhurst men's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Quincy Sunday in Quincy, Illinois.

Barrick found the nets less than two minutes into the game on a six-yard shot off a right cross from Sam McIntosh. It was Barrick's second goal of the season.

The Hawks made it 2-0 in the 37th minute when Quincy accidentally shot the ball into the Rockhurst net for an own goal.

Freshman Immanuel Wayoro scored his second goal of the season in the 78th minute on a 20-yard shot from Evan Hill to give Rockhurst a 3-0 lead.

Rockhurst posted 13 shots and eight shots on goals. Sam McIntosh led the Hawks with four shots and two shots on goal. Asier Olano and Rhys Laws each posted two shots and one shot on goal. Franco Brunoro made one save.

The Hawks (2-7-2, 2-5-2 GLVC) return home to play William Jewell next Sunday.
