Late run carries Hawks to 92-73 victory

Five players scored in double figures to lead Rockhurst to a 92-73 victory over Truman State Thursday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks jumped out to a 42-17 lead with 6:19 left in the first half. Truman State closed the first half on a 22-8 run and pulled within four points, 70-66, with nine minutes left in the game. Rockhurst ended the game on a 22-7 run.

Timaris Brown led the Hawks with 22 points and eight rebounds. Nico Felici scored a career-high 20 points and collected a team-high four assists.

Jake Auer came off the bench to score 15 points behind four 3-point field goals. Nick Arensberg and Brian Hawthorne each finished with 11 points while combining to hit nine-of-14 field goals.

Rockhurst shot 53.3 percent from the field (32-of-60) and made 14-of-34 from behind the 3-point line (41.2 percent).

Landon Eiland led Truman State (7-10, 4-5 GLVC) with 14 points and seven rebounds.
