Maryville rallies to edge Hawks, 70-69

Maryville rallied in the final two minutes to edge Rockhurst, 70-69, Saturday in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Saints ended the game on a 14-2 run to overcome a 67-56 deficit with 2:42 left in the second half. Maryville took advantage of four Rockhurst turnovers in the final two minutes.

Rockhurst's Jake Auer missed a 15-foot jump shot with two seconds left after Maryville made two free throws to take the lead with eight seconds left.

Miles White led the Hawks with 21 points and eight rebounds. Timaris Brown posted 16 points and five rebounds. Rron Thaci added nine points on three 3-point field goals.

Rockhurst shot 43.1 percent from the field (25-of-58) and made 10-of-11 from the foul line (90.9 percent).

Davis Walker led Maryville (7-8, 3-6 GLVC) with 15 points.
