Brown leads Hawks to 91-79 win at Missouri S&T

Timaris Brown scored 18 of his game-high 30 points in the second half to lead Rockhurst to a 91-79 victory over Missouri S&T Thursday night in Rolla, Missouri.

Brown connected on 11-of-17 field goals, including hitting five-of-eight 3-point shots. The sophomore forward also grabbed six rebounds.

Miles White posted 21 points, five-3-pointers, seven rebounds and three assists. Brian Hawthorne tallied 14 points and five rebounds. Jake Auer added nine points, four steals and three assists.

The Hawks ended the first half on an 8-0 run to cut S&T's lead to 42-37 at halftime. Rockhurst opened the second half on a 17-8 run to take a 54-50 lead and closed the game on an 18-11 run.

Rockhurst shot 55.9 percent from the field (33-of-59) and made 12-of-21 from behind the 3-point line (57.1 percent).

Lovell Williams led S&T (9-6, 3-5 GLVC) with 20 points and nine assists.
