Outside shooting leads Hawks past Lewis

Three-point shooting carried Rockhurst to a 94-72 victory over Lewis Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks connected on 16-of-28 three-pointers, including hitting 10 threes in the second half

Rockhurst ended the game on a 36-14 run behind the shooting of Jake Auer and Miles White. The duo combined for 24 points on eight 3-point field goals in the final 12-plus minutes.

Auer led the Hawks with a career-high 25 points on nine-of-11 shooting. Auer made five of his seven 3-pointers in the final 12:19. White scored 21 points on seven-of-10 shooting.

Timaris Brown posted 17 points, six rebounds and five assists. Nick Arensberg tallied 11 points and four rebounds.

Rockhurst shot 62.7 percent from the field (32-of-51) and made 14-of-17 free throws (82.4 percent).

Ryan Renfro led Lewis (8-7, 4-3 GLVC) with 16 points.
