Hawks wrap up south Florida event with two wins

Rockhurst posted women's volleyball wins over Nova Southeastern and Palm Beach Atlantic on the final day of the Hyatt Place Bash at the Beach Saturday in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The Hawks opened the day with a 3-0 win over Nova Southeastern. Sarah Pyle and Ali Olson combined for 10 kills and eight digs. Maureen Reilly tallied 18 digs.

In the final match of the weekend, Rockhurst rallied for a 3-2 win over Palm Beach Atlantic. The Hawks won the final two sets, 25-23 and 15-8.

Lexi Theis led the Hawks with 14 kills and 15.5 points. Sydney Raszler posted 11 kills, seven digs and five blocks. Sarah Pyle collected 10 kills and 13 digs. Tera Reberry and Olson combined for 18 kills and 12 blocks.

Maureen Reilly had a team-high 23 digs. Sarah Montague tallied 13 digs and 23 assists. Molly Trachta added 24 assists and six digs.

On Friday, Rockhurst fell by a 3-0 score to Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. Theis led the Hawks with nine kills.

Rockhurst (6-1) returns home to host Arkansas Tech Friday at 6 p.m.
