Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Rockhurst holds off William Jewell

The Rockhurst women's volleyball team held off a strong challenge by William Jewell to record a 3-0 win over the Cardinals Saturday in Liberty, Missouri.

The Hawks rallied from a 19-15 deficit to win the first set, 25-23. Rockhurst won the second set, 25-15, and overcame a 20-15 deficit to win the third set, 25-22.

Sarah Pyle led the Hawks with eight kills and nine digs. Tera Reberry and Sydney Raszler each  posted seven kills.

Maureen Reilly had a team-high 16 digs. Sarah Montague and Molly Trachta combined for 30 assists and 11 digs.

The Hawks posted a 3-0 win over Arkansas Tech at home Friday night. Tera Reberry and Sarah Pyle paced the Hawks with 10 kills apiece.

Rockhurst (8-1) plays at Central Missouri Tuesday night.
